DAN MULLEN CAN’T WATCH THE IDENTICAL QB SCRIPT IF FLORIDA NEEDS PROBABILITY TOWARDS ALABAMA

Florida coach Dan Mullen outlined his methodology for addressing solutions ahead of Saturday’s meeting with No. 1 Alabama.

“I don’t pay attention to many solutions,” Mullen mentioned at his weekly press convention. “In case you are in our workers’ assembly, I will heed your suggestion. I don’t run to Shands Hospital and say, “Wow, I feel like you really need to do this process this way.” I think these guys most likely got that under direction. “

Probably Mullen’s most frequent suggestion this week revolves around rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson, the rookie quarterback who probably made the most of his pattern in two video games.

Richardson has hit 6 of 11 passes for 192 yards and two TDs. He has 11 carries for 275 yards and two TDs. That’s an average of 21.2 yards per play; Mainly one play at a time. Richardson battled hamstring damage in this week’s observation, but the suggestion is on the market.

Why not start Richardon as an Emory Jones alternative and see what happens with Crimson Tide? Jones has additional experience, but he has also thrown 4 interceptions in two games. Mullen hinted that the plan could be to start with Jones and work with Richardson, which has been the case in the victories for walking to FAU and South Florida.

“There are some circumstances that maybe can change that, however I suggest that everyone has a way of planning to get into the sport that, ‘Hey, (Richardson) is going to play the third set,” Mullen said.

However, you beat Alabama by going off script. That’s what makes Richardson such an intriguing entrant heading into Week 3. The last Florida quarterback to beat Alabama was Tim Tebow in the re-enactment of the SEC championship on December 6, 2008.

Alabama has lost just 16 video games since then, and that includes just 11 regular-season video games.

QBs who beat Alabama in common season since 2009

Steven Garcia, South Carolina (Oct. 9, 2010)
Jordan Jefferson, Jarrett Lee, LSU (Nov. 6, 2010)
Cam Newton, Auburn (Nov. 26, 2010)
Jordan Jefferson, Jarrett Lee, LSU (Nov. 5, 2011)
Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M (Nov. 10, 2012)
Nick Marshall, Auburn (Nov. 30, 2013)
Bo Wallace, Ole Miss (Oct. 4, 2014)
Chad Kelly, Ole Miss (Sept. 19, 2015)
Jarrett Stidham, Auburn (Nov. 25, 2017)
Joe Burrow, LSU (Nov. 9, 2019)
Bo Nix, Auburn (Nov. 30, 2019)

Everyone remembers the Heisman Trophy-worthy performances of Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel and Joe Burrow. Former Auburn coach Gus Malzahn beat Saban with Nick Marshall, Jarrett Stidham and Bo Nix. Former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze did the same with Bo Wallace and Chad Kelly. Former South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier did it with Steven Garcia, the outlier on this checklist.

The Jones-Richardson dynamic in Florida is totally different than what former LSU coach Les Miles did with Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson twice. Most of these quarterbacks introduced problems for Alabama with his mobility: the uncanny ability to make a big play when the script was broken.

Can Mullen, who is 0-10 against Saban, discover that mix with Jones and Richardson? Will you give Richardson more reps this week? He is a robust name given inexperience.

Jones (63.3 completion ratio) and Richardson (54.5%) are nonetheless rising in their roles, and Alabama’s protection restricted Miami’s D’Eriq King to 189 complete yards and forced two turnovers on a 44 blouwt. -13 on September 3. calling on these quarterbacks to match Bryce Younger, who has taken the Heisman Trophy lead after back-to-back good performances.

However, this can be a great alternative for Florida to interrupt a seven-game losing streak against Crimson Tide. Kyle Trask threw for 408 yards and three touchdowns on that checklist, so excellent quarterback efficiency, however, may not be enough.

“It’s an opportunity for these staff to see where we are at this level of the season,” Mullen said. “The result of this recreation should not sum up the season both ways.”

It should describe who the Florida quarterback is for the rest of the year.

We may not advise much less.
