Super League leading scorer Ken Sio has signed a new two-year contract with Salford.
The Australian winger finished the 2021 Super League regular season with 19 attempts out of his 19 appearances, three clear of his closest rival.
Sio, 30, previously played for Parramatta and Newcastle Knights in Australia, and spent two years in the Super League with Hull KR between 2015 and 2016.
He has been with the Red Devils since the beginning of the 2019 season and his initial three-year contract would expire in November.
However, the club, which is looking for a new head coach after parting ways with Richard Marshall, announced his new contract at the end-of-season awards on Wednesday night, when he was named the players’ player of the year. .
In a tweet, the club said: “2021 @superleague, top scorer of attempts @ ken – sio1 is here to stay for another two seasons!”
Salford finished a spot from the bottom of the Super League standings in eleventh place.
